Your L.S.A. kit provides you with two stability belts, one for the anchor and one for securing the mid lock on your extension ladder. After extending to the desired height, wrap one belt around two of the adjoining rungs near the mid lock section. This will prevent separation of the two ladder sections, increasing the stability of your ladder. This is a secondary mid lock check point.
The permanent anchor plate can be installed on gables or fascia and is adaptable to most configurations. The flexability of the stability belts makes this possible.

CLOSE EAVES GUTTERS
Install on gable if possible. The anchor plate can be installed below the gutters when using a gutter block (Sold Separately). The adjustable non-rot water proof block is installed into the gutter at the top and screwed into place. This prevents the gutter from crushing under pressure and allows water to flow freely. The anchor is installed on a fascia at a rafter. A layer of double stick sealant is applied between the plate and the fascia. The anchor is then secured with a lag bolt and four screws.
PRE-MOUNT ANCHOR ON TWO STORY CLIMBS
On the outside section of the extension ladder, at the fifth rung from the top, clamp the anchor on the side rail lip of the rising section. Then clip the belt on to the anchor and loosely wrap the locking velcro belt around the adjoining outside rung, securing the anchor for extension. With anchor and belt secure on the extending section, extend the ladder to the desired height.

SECURE MID SECTION WITH SECOND BELT
Climb ladder and install stability anchor; when lowering, repeat pre-mount step.
